"Preparing for the Road Ahead"
Edward Jones Financial Advisor Phil Hofweber of Gaylord is hosting a free presentation titled, "Preparing for the Road Ahead," at Michaywe Inn the Woods at 1535 Opal Lake Road, Gaylord, MI 49735 Thursday October 18, 2012 at 11:30am.
The presentation, which will include data and trends to help put concerns over the economy into perspective, will cover:
• Expectation for economic and job growth
• Strategies to address inflation and changing interest rates
• Where to look for stock market opportunities
• The dangers of playing politics with one's investment portfolio
Lunch will be served.

This class is designed for the person who is just beginning to use word. This class is hands on and instructor led. We will be creating documents, editing documents, navigating, selecting text, and modifying text. We will learn how to format text, create lists, apply borders, use styles and manage formatting. Thursday. Cost $49.

Give your input on county-wide priorities for the next three years
YOUR input needed!
Do you know poverty, health, and community develoment are inseparable? Anyone who cares about Otsego County is invited to participate in two interactive community-wide priority-setting sessions. Participants will review data collected over the past 12 months by the Otsego County Mobilizing for Action through Planning & Partnerships (MAPP) Committee, Otsego County Quality of Life Project, and Otsego County United Way and determine priorities to address county-wide over the next three years. The first meeting, on Thursday, October 18, 1-4PM at M-TEC, will focus on community health issues and the second meeting, Thursday, October 25, 1-4 PM at United Way, focuses on education and income. Participants can attend one or both meetings at no charge. All are welcome but space is limited. Please RSVP by emailing Liane Hagerman at l.hagerman@nwhealth.org.
